Last season Nicholas joined the ensemble of the Nationale Reisopera where he performed DON BASILIO Il Barbiere di Siviglia, SLEEP, HYMEN and WINTER Fairy Queen and PETRUS St John Passion.

With Royal Academy Opera, he sang GREMIN Eugene Onegin and VILLOTTO in Haydn’s La vera costanza, as well as L’ARBRE L’Enfant et les Sortileges at the Barbican. For RAM he also sang BARTLEY in Vaughan Williams’ Riders to the Sea, SOMARONE Béatrice et Bénédict and 2nd ARMED MAN Die Zauberflöte. Additionally, he performed FIGARO Le Nozze di Figaro Amersham Music Festival, and ZARETSKY Eugene Onegin, THE HELMSMAN Tristan und Isolde, and covered MONTERONE Rigoletto, TOMSKY Queen of Spades and GREMIN Eugene Onegin Grange Park Opera. Contemporary works include THE MAN in The Raven by Matt Rogers Opera up Close and Grimeborn.

At venues such as St Martin in the Fields, St John’s Smith Square and Cadogan Hall, solo engagements include Verdi’s Requiem, Händel’s Solomon, Duruflé’s Requiem, Mozart’s Requiem and Solemn Vespers, Bach’s Christmas Oratorio, Haydn’s Creation & Nelson Mass as well as recitals at the Royal Academy of Music and Lauderdale House.

Nicholas was born in Buckinghamshire and started his musical career at St Albans Cathedral Choir, where he was head chorister. He completed the MA Vocal Studies and Royal Academy Opera (RAO) Advanced Diploma course.  He was awarded The Independent Opera Vocal Scholarship at the Royal Academy of Music 2012.
