Recently Owen sang Orlando (title role) Theater Heilbronn, HELICON Caligula Staatsoper Hannover, ANDRONICO Tamerlano Buxton Festival, FARINELLI Farinelli and the King Duke of York Theatre, FAMIGLIARI The Coronation of Poppea Opera North, SUMMER The Fairy Queen and SOLOIST Bach’s St. John Passion Nationale Reisopera, Handel’s Giulio Cesare (title) Finnish National Opera, and ORFEO Orfeo ed Euridice and ARSACE in Handel’s Partenope Boston Baroque. Other engagements were the Jerwood Project: Awakening Shadow a dramatization of Britten Canticles Glyndebourne, Handel’s Messiah Portland Baroque Orchestra, ANFINOMUS/HUMANO FRAGILITATA Il Ritorno d’Ulisse in Patria Birmingham Opera Company (Graham Vick), Handel’s Orlando (title) Opernhaus Halle and Halle Händelfestspiele, Bach’s Johannes Passion (staged) Dutch National Reisopera, and The Fairy Queen.

In concerts, Owen has performed with Les Musicians de Louvre, Telemann Chamber Orchestra, Vancouver Early Music Festival, Ulster Orchestra, Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment and Lautten Compagney. He has worked with many leading names in historical performance, including Laurence Cummings, Christian Curnyn, Emmanuelle Haim, Marc Minkowsi, Martin Pearlman, Howard Arman and Raphael Pichon.

Owen was a choral scholar at Lichfield Cathedral and studied at the Royal Academy of Music, with Noelle Barker, Iain Leadingham and David Lowe.
