Athole Still International (ASI) began nearly 20 years ago as a personal management agency specialising in opera and sport, reflecting the passions of our founder and present Managing Director, Athole Still.
Today, Athole, who has been in turn Olympic swimmer, sports journalist, television commentator and professional opera singer, is found at the helm of Athole Still Opera.
Over the years our activities have evolved to encompass all the services required by an opera artist planning, and managing, a successful career in the world of opera.
Our multi-lingual, expert managers are in daily contact with opera houses the world over, developing and maintaining relationships between our roster of singers, conductors, directors and designers and the theatres:
Athole Still attended Robert Gordon's College, Aberdeen, then graduated M.A. (Modern Languages) from Aberdeen University.
Having progressed to become an Olympic swimmer and swimming correspondent/commentator for The Times, Sunday Times and ITV, Athole became the author of three books on swimming. He also created three television series on swimming, water sport and winter sports.
Athole studied at Guildhall School of Music and Drama and Morley College Opera School. Principal Operatic Tenor with Glyndebourne International Festival and Scottish Opera.
Athole is also an F.A. licensed football agent and the sports division of the Athole Still company was sold in 2008.
