Adriano Graziani Tenor
A superb debut at the 2009 Wexford Festival as DON RUIZ in Donizetti’s Maria Padilla has emphatically placed Adriano Graziani on the operatic world stage. Already enjoying a huge fan-base in his native Wales, recent international appearances have included the role of EDMONDO Manon Lescaut for Modena and Piacenza. A busy future schedule includes a return to Modena later in 2010 as LEICESTER Maria Stuarda, opposite Mariella Devìa in the title-role. In addition, he makes his long-awaited American debut in 2011 as DON RUIZ (teaming up again with Barbara Quintiliani as Maria Padilla) for Opera Boston.

Adriano first studied singing with renowned specialist Victor Gav, before taking up a scholarship at the Royal College of Music in London. In 2005, he took part in the Artists Development Programme in Wexford, Ireland, and in 2006 won 2nd Place at the Concorso Internazionale dei Cantanti Lirici in Italy. Having completed advanced studies at the Cardiff International Academy of Voice, he continues to develop under the watchful eye of Dennis O’Neill CBE. Adriano Graziani first appeared with Scottish Opera as a guest on their “Essential Scottish Opera Tour” in Jan/Feb 2007, which led to a highly-successful engagement as ARTURO for Scottish Opera’s 2007 production of Lucia di Lammermoor.
Thereafter he was invited to sing the role of MACDUFF for Glyndebourne Touring Opera’s 2007 production of Verdi’s Macbeth, a debut which earned him the Glyndebourne 2007 Promise Award for the most outstanding young singer. Other recent highlights have included his debut as POLLIONE Norma in Northern Ireland, with the Ulster Orchestra.
More recently, both critics and public hailed his February 2009 debut as CAVARADOSSI for Holland Park Opera as testimony to the extraordinary potential he promises.
