Lucy was born in Enfield, North London and read Modern Languages (Italian, Russian and Czech) at Bristol University. She pursued her passion for opera by studying for the PPRNCM in Operatic Professional Performance at The Royal Northern College of Music, winning Llangollen International Young Singer of the Year and Countess of Munster Musical Awards.
Alongside a freelance career as an opera/concert singer, singing teacher and photographer, she worked in an administrative capacity for Opera Now Magazine, Intermedi and Middlesex University before joining ASI in 2003.
