Bülent Bezdüz

Bülent Bezdüz’s most recent and future engagements include ALFREDO La Traviata Ravenna Festival, Israeli Opera and Opéra de Marseilles, LEICESTER Maria Stuarda Teatro Comunale Modena and in concert with the Bolshoi, GENNARO Lucrezia Borgia Göteborg Opera, and EDGARDO Lucia di Lammermoor Teatro Massimo di Palermo. He regularly appears at both the Mersin State Opera and the Istanbul Opera.

His most notable appearances have included FENTON Falstaff with the London Symphony Orchestra under Sir Colin Davis, the recording of which won a Grammy® Award, ALFREDO La Traviata De Vlaamse Opera, FENTON for both the Glyndebourne Festival Opera and Opéra de Lausanne, RODOLFO La Bohème Bühnen der Stadt Köln, Canadian Opera Company and Goteborg Opera and GENNARO Lucrezia Borgia Opéra de Marseille. He sang EDGARDO Lucia di Lammermoor Portland Opera, Opéra de Montpellier, Teatro Colon Buenos Aires, Teatro Pergolesi, Greek National Opera in Athens, Göteborg Opera and Scottish Opera, as well as ALFREDO Grand Théâtre de Dijon, and Théâtre de Caen, NEMORINO L’Elisir d’Amore Opéra de Nancy and Opéra de Lille, and LEICESTER Maria Stuarda Opera North.

Born in Turkey, Bülent graduated from the Music Academy of Gazi University in Ankara, befor continuing his studies at the CNIPAL Marseille. He made his European debut in the title role of Mozart´s Lucio Silla on tour in the UK, Ireland and Denmark with the European Opera Centre. He was a Laureat of the Concours International de Chant de Paris.

Bülent has worked with many prestigious conductors and directors, including Sir Colin Davis, Riccardo Chailly, Vladimir Jurowski, David Parry, Richard Jones, Phyllida Lloyd, David Alden, Enrique Mazzola and Antonello Allemandi.
