"Mark Milhofer’s professionalism knows no limits. He lived the role, rather than acting it. The
Madwoman’s timbres are varied and wide and it goes without saying they were always pitch perfect with immaculate diction in his delivery."
Seen and Heard
"Mark Milhofer’s gently reedy tenor and naturally communicative stage presence, however, arguably made Arnalta’s Act 3 scene the highpoint of the evening."
Bachtrack
"The tenor Mark Milhofer was no less impressive in the role of the shepherd Eumete. His use of the voice to characterize the role was wonderful. Every line was crafted with such detail; subtle dynamic inflections, emphases, and colorful accents were applied intelligently to create a living character with real depth."
Operawire
Operaclick
"Meanwhile, Mark Milhofer as Amanzio was a theatrical tour de force. His journey from cautious maneuvering to the twisted euphoria of a successful coup, ending in a despondent fall from grace, was utterly magnetic."
