News | Owen Willetts
"Owen Willetts (Ottone) has a lovely clear voice and an engaging warm tone, and his experience in Baroque opera is clearly evident."
Bachtrack
"Owen Willetts displayed an astonishing countertenor voice that lingers in the memory. His voice is dark, dark, and darker with a power and projection that reminded me of early Derek Lee Ragin or perhaps Bejun Mehta. His expressive features and obvious facility for dramatic expression complete the picture."
Opera Today
FAZ
"In impressive fashion, the countertenor Owen Willetts (Orfeo) almost became one of those gymnasts, yet never faltering muscially. The terrible threefold cry 'Euridice' declared the emotional and dramatic character of the whole opera. His tone was full and expressive and, despite the fact that he was onstage for the entire time, there was never any hint of fatigue."
