Renato Girolami studied in Rome with Sesto Bruscantini. After completing his studies at the Musikhochschule München he had his first professional engagements in Passau and Salzburg, followed by a five-year period as an ensemble member of Wiener Staatsoper and Volksoper, where roles included LEPORELLO Don Giovanni, FIGARO Le Nozze di Figaro, GUGLIELMO Così fan tutte, BELCORE and DULCAMARA, DON MAGNIFICO, TADDEO L’Italiana in Algeri, SHARPLESS Madama Butterfly and BELFIORE Un Giorno di Regno.
His discography includes FIGARO and LEPORELLO for Naxos and UBERTO La Serva Padrona and TRACOLLO Livietta e Tracollo for Bongiovanni.
