Current and future plans of German bass-baritone Wieland Satter include PIZARRO Fidelio Staatstheater Darmstadt, ZACCARIA Nabucco Domstufen-Festspiele Erfurt, as well as Mazeppa (title role) and JOCHANAAN Salome Pfalztheater Kaiserlautern.

As a member of the ensemble of Pfalztheater Kaiserslautern roles have included MEPHISTOPHELES Faust, DON MAGNIFICO La Cenerenola, PETER Hänsel und Gretel and KURWENAL Tristan und Isolde.

Notable guest appearances were Der fliegende Holländer (title role) Bolshoi-Theater Moskau, JUPITER Orphée aux enfers Nationaltheater Mannheim, SAM A quiet place Theater Aachen, HEERRUFER Lohengrin National Centre for the Performing Arts Beijing, AMFORTAS Parsifal Tiroler Landestheater Innsbruck and BARTOLO ll barbiere di Siviglia Aaltotheater Essen. He sang at Bregenzer Festspiele, Staatstheater Nürnberg, Staatstheater Kassel, Landestheater Linz, Opéra National de Lyon, Teatro Comunale Bolzano, Teatro Municipale di Piacenza, and Teatro Comunale Luciano Pavarotti Modena, and gave concerts at Philharmonie Köln and Philharmonie Luxembourg.

Wieland Satter studied at Hochschule für Musik in Frankfurt and at Hochschule für Musik Franz Liszt in Weimar. He attended master classes of Hans Hotter, Siegfried Lorenz, Norman Shetler, Walter Berry, and Cornelius Reid. Since 2012 he has been a visiting professor at the Academy of Music in Izmir.
