Joins the Athole Still Roster

We are delighted to welcome British conductor Tim Murray to our roster. Tim is Associate Music Director of Cape Town Opera and was a “Newcomer” finalist in the 2015 International Opera Awards.

His current and future engagements include Gerald Barry’s The Importance of Being Earnest Royal Opera House, Covent GardenPorgy and Bess Teatro RealMadridThe Merry Widow and Carmen Cape Town Opera, as well as a triple bill with the Royal Ballet, including Esa-Pekka Salonen’s Nyx, in a new ballet by multi-award-winning choreographer Wayne McGregor. Other future engagements include Ravenna Festival, Teatro Colon and a return to Teatro Real.

With the Royal Opera HouseCovent Garden, he most recently conducted the premiere of Charlotte Bray’s Out of the Ruins on the main-stage, as well as the 2013 UK premiere of Barry’s The Importance of Being Earnest. Additional projects at the Linbury StudioCovent Garden include The Crackle (with Bryn Terfel), The Enchanted PigThe Gentle Giant and The Doctor’s Tale.
