Alexandra Cravero

Alexandra Cravero’s current and future operatic engagements include I Pagliacci Opéra de Bienne, Les Misérables Théâtre du Châtelet, L’Heure Espagnole/The Bear Scottish Opera and Barbe Bleue (Offenbach) Opéra de Lausanne. Current concert work includes the ciné-concert Buster Keaton Orchestre National des Pays de la Loire, an operetta concert with the Nice Philharmonic Orchestra, C. Franck’s Symphony N°4 Opéra de Tours, and Les Enfants du Levant by Isabelle Aboulker Orchestre National du Capitole de Toulouse.

Past engagements have included Le voyage dans la lune Opéra Comique, Coup de Roulis with Les Frivolités Parisiennes at Théâtre de l’Athénée and Atelier Lyrique de Tourcoing, Werther Lyric Opera Dublin, La Dame Blanche Opéra de Nice, I Pagliacci Opéra de Bienne, Thérèse Scottish Opera, L’Elisir d’amore LabOpéra, Wagner and his heirs Opéra de Saint-Etienne, Cosí fan tutte Orchestre du Bout des Doigts, Love on the beat Radio-France Philharmonic Orchestra, Hommage à Astor Piazzolla Orchestre National des Pays de la Loire, and La Grande vie Orchestre Régional de Normandie. She conducts prestigious ensembles such as the BBC Symphony Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra, the Sofia Radio Orchestra, the Orchestre des Pays de Savoie, the Orchestra e Coro della Fondazione Petruzzelli, the Mulhouse Symphony Orchestra, the Victor Hugo Orchestra, and the Rouen Opera Orchestra.

Alexandra Cravero has been the artistic director of Du Bout Des Doigts Compagnie since 2007. From 2011 to 2021, she was the artistic director of Les Nuits Musicales de Bazoches Festival. She has worked with Kurt Masur, Pierre Boulez, Marin Alsop, Patrick Davin, Philippe Ferro, Pierre-André Valade, Graziella Contratto, Alain Guingal, Tito Ceccherini, Jean-Pierre Haeck and Arie Van Beek. She studied at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Lyon and the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris and was a finalist in international competitions such as Besançon, Pedrotti, and Cadaques.
